The Milwaukee Bucks Celebrate Black History Month
These two students were both star basketball players and also help in mentoring young men of color in their communities as well. We love seeing many of our Fellows inspire the youth of our city and be role models for the generations. We truly are making history!
From the MKE Fellows Facebook Page:
“After an evening of food and community, some of our local MKE Fellows and Mentors gathered to swap stories and enjoy some fun at the Bucks game! The MKE Fellows were a proud part in the Bucks salute to Black History in February. We were proud to showcase just a couple of the amazing students in our program. The two young men highlighted on the court & screen were absolutely ecstatic, as both of them played college basketball and are huge sports fans. What is most important to us is that they are also doing extremely well in school and headed in the direction of graduating, while inspiring other youth in our city. Thanks to Pieper-Hillside Boys & Girls Club for hosting our meeting space, and to the Milwaukee Bucks for celebrating our Fellows with us!”
